School Opening Hours

The core operating hours of City of Birmingham School are:

- Start of the compulsory school day: 8:30am  
- End of the compulsory school day: 2:00pm  

This equates to a total of 27.50 hours per week, including breaks.

In exceptional circumstances, a small number of pupils may attend on personalised or phased timetables as part of an agreed individual programme. These arrangements are designed to meet pupils’ needs and are reviewed regularly in line with statutory guidance
